Taiwo, agriculturist, administrator, technocrat, Certified Travel Demand Management expert Vehicle Fleet Management and Logistics Consultant. and a Certified Equipment Leasing practitioner, was born about 55 years ago to the noble family of Mr & Mrs Patrick Olorunfemi Adewole in Owo, Ondo State.
Taiwo had his elementary education at Government Primary School Owo, and his secondary school education at both Methodist High School, Owo and the famous Christ School, Ado Ekiti, now capital of Ekiti State. He obtained Bachelor of Agriculture degree from the prestigious University of Nigeria, Nsukka, now in Enugu State in 1990 and M.Sc. Crop Production from the same university in 1994, specialising in Agroforestry. It is worthy of mentioning that due to his demonstrable brilliance, Taiwo was retained by his university for the compulsory one year National Youth Service scheme as a Research Assistant at the Centre for Rural Developments and Cooperatives, University of Nigeria Nsukka.
Mr Adewole's talent as a very dynamic and adaptive fellow, began to manifest since he got his first appointment as Special Projects Officer - Automania Nigeria Limited, Ikeja, Lagos, where he began to demonstrate leadership capacity including doing the job meant for experts in strange fields. A few instances in this direction would suffice to convince any doubting Thomas.
Notwithstanding his training as agricultural scientist, Mr Adewole in 1995, boldly switched professional camp to new frontiers, apparently demonstrating his innate dynamism and adaptiveness, when he took appointment as Manager, Nikky Taurus Nigeria Limited, where he was the pioneer Manager.
As the pioneer Manager of a Start up company, Taiwo had responsibility for both office, Administration and Operations Management. While at Nikky Taurus, Taiwo secured many long term contracts with several multinational organizations in the different sectors of the Nigeria economy, including banking and other financial institutions, oil and gas, educational and general services.
As a result of his rising profile in growing companies and getting water out of the rock, Mr Adewole moved from Nikky Tairus Nigeria Limited in 1999 to become the General Manager, Evrii Corporation Nigeria Ltd. As General Manager he had responsibility for the general coordination and Management of the company's diversified operations.
In 2002, Mr Adewole, now a highly sought-after brand by various organisations who wanted solutions to their various logistics problems particularly staff movements to and from work propelled him to set up Safe wheelers Express limited and subsequently served as it's founding Managing Director with a little seed capital but through hard work he was able to grow the company to a first class operator in the sector.
At Safewheelers', he was responsible for the management of the Corporate Transportation needs of the following multinational organizations (clients ) with visible presence in the various sectors of the Nigerian economy: ExxonMobil Nigeria Unlimited, Chevron Texaco Nigeria Plc, Petroleo Brassileiro Nigeria Ltd., United State Embassy Abuja, Nigeria, Nestle Nigeria PLC, Beta glass Plc, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Nigeria Plc, Starcomms Plc, Hifab Netcom Nigeria Ltd., Huawei Technologies,Lagoon Secondary School Lekki, Lagos, Olashore International School ILoko, llesha
Mr Adewole is not only a brand known for growing companies from the scratch, he is also a reference point in resurrecting certified dead companies. Nothing bears testimony to this than the wizardry and magic wand he deployed to resurrect the Okitipupa Oil Palm (OOP) plc, literally confirmed dead for nearly 13 years, which confirmed him as a resilient and dogged go-getter.
Adewole first joined OOP PLC in April 2018 as the Lead Management Consultant for the resuscitation of the moribund firm and in a jiffy, he revived the company and has now positioned it as a major player in the Oil Palm industry in the country today.
Impressed by the uncommon wizardry deployed by the management guru, stakeholders in the company have since elevated him to the highest position of Chief Executive Officer of the company, and also recently appointed him as the Managing Director.
Taiwo since April 2018 had successfully led a historic Turnaround of OOP PLC and only recently held its first AGM in about 14 years, paid land-owners who were paid last about 31 years ago and more importantly he is set to pay promptly, first ever dividend to share-holders in 27 years and Moreover, he is working hard to return the company back to the Stock Exchange after its expulsion more than a decade ago.
Under the leadership of Taiwo, a regime of transparency, accountability, cash-less policy, integrity, openness and fiscal discipline has been institutionalized in the company to stem the bleeding that went on unabated for decades, introduced an innovative Business Operations Model that has resulted in a significant cost reduction and improved revenue significantly while also brought the processing infrastructure in the company back to life. Today OOP plc is now producing, processing and selling Oil {Red Gold} which stopped over 20 years ago.
Taiwo has also done extensive work in the area of Corporate Transportation with a career spanning over 23 years and recently public transportation.
Mr Adewole has attended several international conferences, seminars, Trainings and workshops on sustainable Transport Management both in Nigeria, Singapore and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. A member of the global Transportation Knowledge Partnership and the Geneva, Switzerland based International Road Federation where he is a member of the special committee on Road safety and whose primary role is inter country review of Road Infrastructure and Road Safety systems.
Mr Adewole has also been trained on Global procurement procedure through ARIBA sourcing, A South Africa based Global Procurement Agency.
He is a member and fellow of many national and international professional bodies, including: Fellow Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria, member, Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria, member, International Road Federation, Member, Global Transport Knowledge Partnership.
